Arguments to Avoid Disqualification
If a motoring offence carries an automatic ban, a driver can avoid disqualification if ‘special reasons’ can be argued, such as a spiked drink or a genuine emergency.
If a Magistrate finds ‘special reasons’ for the offence then they can reduce the number of penalty points or the length of the driving ban.
In some cases they may impose no penalty at all. Arguing special reasons is technical and can be difficult and if special reasons are a factor in your case, contact us now on 01977 703 215.
